Mother's day!

(Image: Katy Elliot)

Mother's day is coming up and i decided to bake my mom a cake for the big day. It was my first time using fondant and gumpaste and might I add that it was extremely HARD! After 6 long hours of baking, icing, molding, kneeding, dying, and decorating...i finally did it! I made my very first fondant cake! It is a little messy but keep in mind that I have never used that type of icing before.

Hope you like it!!

DIY

Party Favors!!

Fold up cookies for your guests in decorative tissue paper and seal it with a classy sticker.

Buy little buckets from any arts and crafts store and load it with candy. Cut out little flowers and stick a sucker through the middle of it!

Place your favorite fruit in glassine bags to give a fresh spin on goody bag!

Use a butterfly clip to hold the top of a goody bag together! Stylish and yet cheap!
